Free Therapy for Crime Victims

Being the victim of crime has lasting effects.

After a traumatic experience,
the human system of self-preservation seems
to go onto permanent alert,
as if the danger might return at any moment.

– Judith Lewis Herman

I am not a betting woman, but if I were, I would put money on the fact that you were not aware that you can get free mental health therapy if you are the victim of a crime.

That’s right – free therapy to help free you from your PTSD – whether you have insurance or not.

Before I go on, I want to express my heartfelt compassion for what you were forced to endure.

You did not ask for it and certainly did not deserve it.

As a trauma survivor myself, I have an intimate understanding of what you are dealing with and how difficult it is to do all the “things” you are supposed to do

– and pay for –

after being victimized. Hospital bills, lawyer fees, lost income from being unable to work, cost to replace your stolen, lost, or damaged possessions, and home and vehicle repairs. Of course, there is no money left over for therapy.

Here is where I come in.

I work closely with the Office of Crime Victim Services, the organization responsible for covering the cost of psychotherapy for crime victims.

I will oversee the messy government paperwork to get you approved.

I genuinely want to see you heal from this, as do you.
